Commenting is an expression of the reader. Almost an art form if you think about it. You have to know how to express ideas in a very small space with intelligence and with grace.

SeanRox posted an etiquette to commenting guide on his blog earlier this month, commenting really helps a blog and creates as you said a relationship. But commenting is also reflective of the reader and so each reader should take care when commenting.
