When Customers Find Mistakes, Don’t Run

I spoke today with two companies who tried blogging then stopped. They were publishers. Why did they stop? They stopped because someone found a mistake in their books and commented on it on their blog. The public comment was too noisy for them.
Sad.
Such a missed opportunity.
I had the same thing happen to me. I made a stupid spelling mistake.

It could be fairly embarassing when a blogger misspells the word blogger or it could be a great opportunity to show that you’re human.
Everyone likes to meet another human.
I fixed it.
Nothing made me less. It may have earned me more.
